Compostable bags enable dog waste in suitable bags to be composted. There are different compostable standards, so you need the right ones!

Pickup bags need to be certified compostable or they can interfere with effective composting processes.

Australia – AS4736 and AS5810

Canada - ASTM D6400 - Bags certified by the Bioplastics Institute (BPI) must be printed with a message stating that the bag is designated for Canadian use only. European Union - DIN EN 13432 or ASTM US - The BPI no longer certifies compostable dog bags intended for the US market because most commercial composting facilities in the U.S. do not accept pet waste.

Compostable bags do not work properly in landfill because the lack of oxygen there affects its ability to decompose.
